Today we will see how to make this two front-runners “meet” in order you to get the most out of your affiliate marketing campaigns. All right, guys, buckle up, we are starting!
Step 1. Adding CityAds as a Network in PeerClick
In order to track your offer, you need PeerClick and CityAds to “speak” to each other, so we’ll start there. To add CityAds as an Affiliate Network in PeerClick go to the Networks Tab in your PeerClick account and click New. Since CityAds is already included in the PeerClick Networks database, just Load from template and click Add. Yes, the data will be filled in automatically, so you just have to copy the Postback URL template and don’t forget to hit Save button.
Step 2. Setting up Global Postback URL in CityAds
Now it’s time to log into your CityAds account and open Tools tab. Conversion postback section meant to add your Postback link. In CityAds, {click_id} macros is typically used for tracking purposes. You should paste the pre-set Postback URL template (you have already copied it in Step 1) into the corresponding fields, choose for which offers setting will be added or Global, choose the Action type and click Apply. Okay, we’ll move on.
Step 3. Obtaining offer URL in CityAds
Go to the offers tab and select your desired offer. Press Connect to the offer, then press Links and copy result code.
Sounds as though it is the easiest step, but we know that choosing the best affiliate offer from the many CityAds provide is a baffling task. But we are sure, you can do this!
Step 4. Creating an offer in PeerClick
Copy the CODE for you current offer and return to your PeerClick account. Go to Offers tab and click New. Fill in the relevant details, such as Payout and your desired Offer Name, paste your Tracking link into the URL field, choose CityAds as Affiliate Network. Uh, a lot, right? Come on, at least Postback URL will be filled in automatically, as well as the {clickid} will be added to your Offer URL automatically. Now all that’s left is to specify GEO and click Create an offer.
NOTE: GEO is for reference only and not used for traffic filtering or distribution. All Traffic filtering and distribution settings are done in the Campaign rules tab.
Step 5. Create Campaign in PeerClick
Here is your course of action (all steps are marked on the screenshots):
1) Go to the Campaigns section,
2) Click the New button,
3) Choose the name of the campaign,
4) Select the group for your campaign or add the new one if you need it,
5) Select the traffic source (it is GoogleAd in our example),
6) Set a value per click. Don’t worry about mistakes cause at any moment you can update the clicks settings using the Update costs function.
7) Choose between the option to use your landing page, or just to send the traffic without it directly to the offer. If you want to use a landing page, click on Landing, you will see a dropdown menu. Here you can easily find your landing page. As soon as you have chosen it, it will appear on the edit page of the campaign. If you don’t want to use it, choose direct link. We’ll be finished soon J
8) Click Offers and a dropdown menu will open. Choose your offer and it will be added to the page,
9) Press Create or Create and close. Besides, don’t forget to copy your link,
you’re going to need it in your ads.
